Government Degree College, Basohli Tehsil Basohli, District Kathua was established in year 2005 by the Govt. of Jammu and Kashmir and affiliated to University of Jammu, Jammu. GDC Basohli is a coeducation institution with majority of students as female. The college is functioning from its own building. The college has been provided with the facility of Browsing center, Smart Classroom, Library & Science  Laboratories.
The college has its own sports room and Gymnasium for the physical fitness and betterment of the students in sports so that our students can also participate and compete at the college, University and National level competitions. The college has been functioning with flourishing and impeccable growth prospects.Our college provides ample opportunities and platforms to the students for their all-round personality development,carving creative potential and preparing them to become a good citizen. 
The innstitution is catering the need of the students living in adjoining areas also especially for girls students who prefer to study in the nearby institution.
